Meet Long Beach filmmaker DJ Hale who wrote, directed, and stars in Rescued, an official selection of the first annual Long Beach Film Festival.

Long Beach Film Festival invites you to a rare, behind-the-velvet-rope experience on July 29th: an intimate conversation with the director of “Resuced,” Long Beach filmmaker DJ Hale. The film is set in Long Beach with many recognizable city locations like Rosie’s Dog Beach. DJ will talk about his remarkable film and we’ll be screening the trailer for you.

Every dollar raised at this exclusive event also supports LBFF StoryLab, our youth filmmaking program empowering the next generation of Long Beach storytellers.

Your ticket includes a glass of wine hand-picked by the proprietors of Wine on 2nd, light hors d’oeuvres, special sneak previews of films from the festival, and entry in a raffle to win a VIP pass to the LBFF Filmmaker Lounge and nightly mixers, starting with the Filmmaker Mixer on Friday, August 28th. Plus you’ll be supporting an ambitious new addition to the cultural landscape of Long Beach.
